As a proud resident of the Peterborough community since 1902, the Quaker plant and its employees now want to give back to the city that has welcomed them with open arms for over 120 years. Their new campaign features the Quaker plant on 34 Hunter St. W, along with real plant employees, the new commercial celebrates the people that make up the city of Peterborough and shows what it means to be a true QUAKERborough community - a place with great food, kind neighbours, and a warm welcome.

Just as Quaker was welcomed into the community over a century ago, it's now paying it forward; with the help of its plant employees and the New Canadians Centre, Quaker will be welcoming newcomers to the community throughout the summer months. Additionally, an interactive map was created that includes local tips, spots and hideaways at quakerborough.ca, which we’ve created with help from the local community.
Logan Chambers, Senior Director of Marketing at PepsiCo Canada added, 'We know that when consumers buy products that are made in Canada, they feel a sense of pride and purpose supporting their Canadian neighbours. So this year, we wanted to build on our QUAKERborough foundation and engage with Canadians inside the Peterborough community and across the country and inspire them to be good neighbours while demonstrating our warm and welcoming brand values.'
