The traditional creator marketing playbook is evolving. As audiences and influencers alike seek more authentic brand engagements, the standard luxury brand getaway and transactional paid integrations are making room for a more immersive, relationship-first approach.

How Faulhaber and eos Rethought the Creator Trip with'Camp Smooth'

With creators spending so much of their lives online, eos partnered with Toronto-based Faulhaber to reimagine the traditional creator trip. Rather than a luxury getaway or tightly packed content itinerary, Camp Smooth offered a compelling alternative: an authentic, relationship-first experience where connection came before content.

What Makes This a Content Creator Campaign, Not Just a Trip?

To launch the new Shea Better Cashmere Shave Oil, Faulhaber took 80 creators offline. The result was Camp Smooth, a five-day retreat at Camp Walden in Ontario built around a simple, powerful premise: disconnect to reconnect.

Instead of packing the itinerary with mandatory content creation blocks, Faulhaber and eos designed a full camp takeover that blended nostalgic Canadian camp traditions, outdoor activities, and wellness with organic product integration and playful branded moments. The strategy prioritized genuine offline connections, banking on the idea that content would become an organic byproduct of a highly memorable experience rather than forced output.

The experience gave creators space to step away from their feeds and reconnect with nature and one another. Content emerged organically rather than serving as the experience’s sole focus. For eos, the retreat brought the brand’s playful personality to life while demonstrating how experiential marketing can foster deeper creator relationships beyond a traditional product launch.
