Since 1956, Scotties has been the top facial tissue brand in Canada. However, many Canadians tend to refer to our tissues using the name of a brand that left the Canadian consumer market last year, instead of using the name Scotties. The brand aims to change this habit and encourage Canadians to ask for Scotties. One approach being considered is using hypnotism to help break this habit.

Hypnotizing New Campaign Aims To Train Canadians On Saying Scotties Facial Tissue

In this humorous campaign, a dedicated customer decides to undergo hypnosis to finally pronounce the brand's name correctly. Their trigger? A sneeze. Although the hypnosis is effective—they consistently say the correct Scotties name—it’s not always at the right moments.

"With this new campaign, we wanted to poke fun at the fact that consumers have been calling us by the wrong name for years and educate consumers that Scotties has been proudly serving Canadians for over 60 years, with more years to come, thanks to our increased capacity, so that we can continue being a national market leader in the facial tissue category. Scotties Ultra Soft is our most premium and best facial tissue to date and we're thrilled to bring this innovation to the market so we can continue to meet the needs of Canadians."
