Dry January is here and Heineken Canada wants to offer Torontonians a fun and unique way to keep the party going by creating a memorable night out on the town without the alcohol. The new streetcar, running for 3 Saturdays in January, will feature music from local DJs and provide guests with complimentary entry, line bypass and Heineken 0.0 at select Toronto bars.

As more consumers look alternatives to alcohol, and the popularity of Dry January continues to grow Heineken 0.0 is encouraging consumers to shake off the winter blues and enjoy good times with friends – without alcohol. With the new Heineken “Route 0.0” experience, you can enjoy a memorable night out in downtown Toronto. To get things started, branded TTC streetcar will be cruising into Toronto neighbourhoods to transport riders to the city’s hottest nightlife areas beginning Saturday, January 13th and running every Saturday until January 27th. Now this will not be your average streetcar journey either, riders of legal drinking age will be able to hop aboard Heineken Route 0.0 free of charge at dedicated stops in the city. Starting at Union Station, the ‘streetbar’ will take riders on a unique route through some of the city’s liveliest spots, including King West, Queen West and Parkdale. Inside the streetcar, they’ll be greeted with live music from some of Toronto DJs, including BAMBII, CYRUS and Karim Olen Ash. Anyone joining the party will also receive complimentary Heineken 0.0.
Heineken has partnered with select local bars across the city where you can show your Route 0.0 wristband to skip the line (and the cover charge!) and grab some free Heineken 0.0 so you can keep the party going.
“We know that many people cut back or abstain from drinking altogether in January, but that doesn’t mean they have to stay home the whole month,” said Jose Casillas, Marketing Director at Heineken. “We want Canadians to hit the town for a fun night out without alcohol. And thanks to the refreshing, great taste of Heineken 0.0, they can!”
