Dr. Martens has rolled out the second phase of their multi-faceted Pride Generations campaigned created to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. The update to the original campaign – Nightlife. Proud Then. Proud Now. Proud Always was created on the premise of build connections between the past and present by learning from different generations sharing their experiences. The campaign brings together five movers and shakers within the LGBTQIA+ space to capture awe-inspiring video content, shared through the lenses of Protest, Creativity and Nightlife.
Dr. Martens has been a proud and longstanding advocate and champion for the LGBTQIA+ community, and has supported several LGBTQIA+ organizations and has made an unwavering promise to be inclusive of gender identity and sexual orientation each day of the of the year.
The fashion brand has made another of initiatives including:
- Committing $200K – For the sixth consecutive year of partnership withThe Trevor Project, Dr. Martens has pledged to contribute $200K to the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQIA+ youth
- Providing a platform to share generational voices – Dr. Martens’ PRIDE GENERATIONS video campaign leverages Director – Jess Kohl to create two unique short films focused on Protest and Nightlife.
- Regional collaborations with local artists – As part of the Canadian campaign strategy, Dr. Martens is partnering with two local queer artists to design custom shoes for six LGBTQIA+ content creators
- Limited-edition 1461 For Pride Smooth Leather Oxford Shoes – new limited-edition 1461 shoe, available for purchase in Canada as of mid-June (see image above)
