A new survey from Deloitte Canada reveals that senior leaders in Canadian organizations are experiencing tangible returns from artificial intelligence (AI). However, many may be minimizing its long-term impact by focusing on the most visible gains rather than considering broader measures of business value. While 88% of leaders are confident in their ability to measure the return on investment (ROI) from AI, and 90% report positive impacts on productivity over the past year, the most common indicators of ROI continue to be productivity gains and cost savings. Fewer leaders highlight broader business outcomes such as revenue growth or risk reduction, indicating that many organizations may be benefiting from AI's immediate advantages without fully realizing its strategic potential.
