Lisa LaflammeThe backlash against Bell Media’s treatment of beloved Canadian journalist Lisa Laflamme continued this week after their sudden firing of the 35+ year vet. Earlier in the week, we covered the story on our sister publication Profectio, we also put up a poll. We have been hearing that brands are looking to pull back their advertising dollars as a sign of solidarity for Lisa.   Water cooler, social media conversations have taken place for weeks, and brands such as Dove and Wendy’s have made very public statements.

In one simple tweet, Lisa Laflamme has changed the conversation for the next month and given brands a chance to stand up for issues that matter.

…but will this result in a permanent change within organizations like Bell Media and how they treat their employees?
