As media outlets continue to struggle to earn requires revenues to stay HuffPost is shutting down. As a result all 47 staff in the US, and just over 20 in Canada are left without jobs.

“As of March 9, HuffPost Canada will no longer be publishing content,” a message reads on HuffPo Canada’s website. “

“Existing content will be maintained as an online archive; however, certain site features were permanently disabled as of March 12.”

This continues in a long line of media outlets who have suffered not just to the changed business landscape due to COVID-19 but the loss in advertising revenue.
