WPP has begun the process of potentially selling its public relations firm, Burson, according to a report.
The Times of London reported that WPP has enlisted investment bank Goldman Sachs to explore options for selling the business.
There have been indications of change for years, as WPP has undergone significant leadership transitions while the global holding company works to reinvent itself.

Back in 2018, it merged with Cohn & Wolfe in 2018 to become BCW, and then in 2024, the company revealed Burson, which takes us to the present day of WPP's public relations arm.
While there are many possible endings to this story, a sale to Omnicom is out of the picture.
