Sobeys is reviving its classic 1987 jingle, "Star of Christmas," for its latest holiday campaign in Atlantic Canada to support local food banks.

Sobeys Brings The Spirit With Release Nostalgic ‘Star Of Christmas’ Ornaments

A new, limited-time musical ornament inspired by a beloved song will be available for $10 starting December 2 at Sobeys, Foodland, and participating Co-Op locations across Atlantic Canada, while supplies last. All proceeds will support local food banks during this critical time of need.

Sobeys has partnered with local Halifax choir East Coast Carolling for enchanting community performances, along with Bahia Makhoul, a former cast member from the original 1987 TV spot, for a special appearance in this year's initiative.

Along with in-store signage, a TVC and radio will run alongside PR and influencer support.
