WE ACT for Environmental Justice, a Northern Manhattan-based environmental justice organization, has hired Toronto-based Environics Communications as its new national public relations agency. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, environmental justice are “the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.”
Environics will be working with WE ACT’s Washington and New York offices, in conjunction with the Environmental Justice Leadership Forum on Climate Change, to develop strategic messaging and communications around environmental justice issues, especially the administration’s Climate Action Plan.
