Remembering energi PR’s Esther Buchsbaum – Industry Pays Tribute To A Communications Champion

Esther BuchsbaumBusiness and communications professionals are remembering Esther Buchsbaum, who played a vital role in the public relations industry here in Canada.  Esther was President & Co-Founder of energi PR, this past weekend she passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. CEO &  Co-Founder , Carol Levine shared the news via LinkedIn that Esther privately battled glioblastoma over the past 16 months. 

“She was my other half – a co-founder of energi PR, the company President, my “co-conspirator”, trusted confidante, travel buddy and more. Together we conquered every challenge, personal and professional. “

Esther BuchsbaumFor anyone who spent just five minutes with Esther, this picture of her as a child shows the spirt she has always had throughout her career.  This same spirit is what she poured into every client campaign and interaction.  We were fortunate to “break bread” with Esther and share with you a little more about her, she also shared stories about her early days working in the industry.

My deepest sympathies. I started my career at energi PR and was immediately embraced by both you and Esther so deeply. Coming to work each day was such a pleasure knowing I was working with Esther – not only was every day fun but I learned so much from her. But beyond that, working for two strong woman who had in indescribable bond, beyond just business, but true allies…I’m still so thankful. Esther was one of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and I’m so grateful for every moment of working with herCarol, thinking of both you and Morgan.  –

I am heart-broken. I have a known Esther for over 25 years. I sat her her boardroom table and her kitchen table, she was a colleague and a friend. She will be missed beyond measure. My deepest condolences to the family. Rest In Peace –

OMG Carol, I’m in shock! I had no idea! I’ve known Esther since she was 19 years old, and she always seemed like the kind of person who would be eternal! She was an outstanding woman, she was fearless, so smart, so brave, so resilient, and so funny… I’m so, so sorry for your loss! I know how tight you two were and for so long… My most sincere condolences! And my deepest sympathies to Morgan, the love of her life!
