NATIONAL Public Relations announced this week the appointment of David Scott as the agency’s new Vice-President and Practice Lead of the Firm’s Corporate Communications practice in Toronto.
David has more than 20 years’ experience and an impressive record of accomplishment in corporate positioning, reputation-building, executive visibility and media relations. He brings significant knowledge and understanding of financial services, natural resources, and education, having provided counsel to corporations, governments and not-for-profit organizations. David has provided counsel to leading organizations across Europe, Asia and the Americas, advising on a wide range of issues, including labour disputes, class action lawsuits, regulatory interventions, M&As and proxy contests.
David has spent the last several years heading the financial and investor communications practice of an international public relations firm in Toronto. Earlier in his career, he ran his own firm that specialized in financial communications. He has also worked in both the financial services and education fields, and served as policy advisor for two Ontario cabinet ministers responsible for post-secondary education.
