Here is a roundup of Canadian brands over the last week in our Brands On The Move column.
Greyhound Canada
COVID-19 has hit many industry but it’s latest business casualty is Greyhound Canada who is shutting down the business permanently. In a statement issued to media they said – “A full year without revenue has unfortunately made it impossible to continue operations. Thank you to our dedicated staff for their commitment and service.”
Kids Help Phone
The national charity organization that supports youth across Canada hits a major milestone – 20 years. As part of the celebration they are hosting a fundraiser called Dance + More for Tomorrow powered. The Kids Help Phone event aims to raise awareness around the mental health crisis facing young people during the COVID-19 pandemic and features a number of Canadian performers.
Aurora Cannabis
Took another major hit as they reported a financial loss in their quarterly earnings report yesterday. As a result a number of cost cutting strategies will be implemented in the coming months. However we can expect the company to find new ways to diversity their business model to find new products leveraging domestic medical, international medical, and adult-use platforms.
