Kawhi LeonardWe are all safe at home in isolations due to the spread of the coronavirus which has had an impact on many industry. Sports events around the globe have been forced to stop and consumers are looking for things to do with the extra time.  Coors Light Canada (the official beer of the Raptors) is stepping in to help fill that void with the launch of their newest campaign – #TheShotChallange.  Today, May 12, 2020 is the one year anniversary of the infamous buzzer-beater shot taken by Kawhi Leonard to help the Toronto Raptors win Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

As you can see from the video below, the shot was heard around the world, and now Canadians can get a chance to relive this iconic moment which includes everything from shooting a ping pong ball into a cup to shooting an apple into a produce bin. To kick off the challenge, Coors Light has tapped Raptors fans and influencers to remake their own shot.

As part of #TheShotChallenge, Coors Light is encouraging Canadians stuck at home to recreate ‘The Shot’ in their own creative way using just the household items they have around them.

Canadians can enter the challenge by posting their recreation of ‘The Shot’ on social media, using the hashtag #TheShotChallenge and tagging @CoorsLightCanada before May 26th. In the coming weeks, Coors Light will name a winner of the challenge who will be rewarded with Raptors-related prizes, including the chance to sit courtside in the Coors Side Seats when the Raptors hit the court for a future home game.
