Today is the end of an era that is over 170 years old, but is the beginning of a new one for Canada Life. The Great-West Life Assurance Company, London Life Insurance Company and The Canada Life Assurance Company, all three represent iconic brands that many Canadians have come to know and trust over the years and merging under one organization to create, deliver and communicate products and services in Canada across all of its lines of business.
“Today marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for our companies in Canada,” said Paul Mahon, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Bringing our companies together under one brand will allow us to deliver a simpler and unified experience for our customers, advisors and consultants, focusing on what matters most – helping Canadians reach their full potential, every day.”
The amalgamate is a multi-step process that will require board approval, regulatory and policyholder approvals, but upon completion the company is looking to provide a unified voice, product and service offering to Canadians and represents over 11,000 Canadians who service more than 13 million customers.
A multichannel marketing campaign has been executed which will include national print, broadcast and online initiatives taking place in April and running over the balance of the year.
