Toronto Board of Trade Business ExcellenceLast night the Toronto Board of Trade held its annual Business Excellence Awards which celebrates business community who have demonstrated exceptional growth, leadership and innovation. Community Influencer – Presented to a company that demonstrates a long-term orientation reflecting its genuine desire to build diverse, inclusive and balanced communities, and to develop and nurture sustainable growth, either within its own business/organization or in the broader community. This company truly is making a difference in their community and has taken positive action to invest in their community and social responsibility is an integral part of the businessā€™ success

Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year – Recognizes a new or established entrepreneur who has seen a business venture from concept straight through to profitable operation whose business has seen rapid, innovation-driven growth, achieved by disrupting the status quo to spark and influence industry transformation

Employer of the Year – Presented to a business that demonstrates strategic leadership and effective frontline management by establishing, maintaining and leveraging exceptional workplace culture and whose skills and training initiatives best harness the talent of its people.
Winner: 360insights

Global Trade – Recognizes a company with an exciting and viable trade business that is contributing to the Canadian economy by generating export-driven revenue and creating or supporting jobs here at home.
Winner: Baylis Medical

Local Economic Impact – Presented to a business that has had a significant impact on the Toronto regionā€™s economy.
Winner: emergiTEL (Founder Aneela Zai is one of our 2016 PR Person of the Year judges)

Technology Innovation – Awarded to a dynamic company that has provided a technology solution, which showcases innovation and creativity in a new or unique way.
Winner: Aequitas Neo Exchange

Under 40 – Recognizes an emerging young professional under the age of 40 who is an outstanding leader in their field (includes all sectors, industries and company-sizes) and who is shaping our regionā€™s future.
