We had heard the rumours for a while that Toronto-based APEX PR (Marketplace listing) up for sale, and today they communications has confirmed it has now been sold. Managing partners Linda Andross and Kenneth Evans has acquired a 100 per cent share in APEX PR from Pat McNamara, Founder and majority shareholder.
“I could not be happier and more proud to have my two most senior and longest serving employees take over the helm of this amazing company,” said McNamara. “APEX and our digital division, ruckus Digital, have been a source of extraordinary inspiration, pride and happiness for almost 20 years. And to have Linda and Ken take full rein of the company is a perfect way to conclude this phase of my entrepreneurial adventure.”

Ken will continue to drive client strategy, brand reputation, corporate communications, training and issues/crisis management across all practice groups.
Never one to just take a break, Pat will now devote her full attention to her other passion project, Ignite Capital. The not-for-profit helps aspiring Ontario entrepreneurs, who have limited access to start-up funds, the opportunity to compete for seed funding and mentoring.
It has been a while since we have covered APEX, and should be interesting to see is next for the agency.
