Public Mobile Wants Canadians To #SIMswap

August 19, 2016

Public MobileThis week Public Mobile launched a new digital advertising campaign called #SIMswap .

As part of the campaign, Public Mobile is encouraging Canadians to take advantage of their free SIM card offer by participating in the new #SIMSwap campaign. The carrier wants Canadians to trade in their useless items for a SIM card. Public Mobile is looking for almost anything, gum, napkins, coffee cups, etc. All participants have to do is post a picture of a useless item, tag @publicmobile and hashtag it #SIMswap on Twitter or Instagram. On Facebook, participants post the photo on Public Mobile’s wall.

Public Mobile will reach out with a unique URL where participants can order their SIM, which will be mailed. Additionally, Public Mobile might even use the useless item in their ads.

The initiative is part of a larger strategy to connect the brand with Canadians in a fun and creative way, and to help consumers get the best phone plans for the least amount of money.

Public Mobile prides itself on offering Canadians a simple approach to communication. A reliable network, consumers can create their own preferred plan with a SIM card and eliminate the hassle of a contract.
