Counsel Public Affairs has announced the appointment of Tara Wood as the agency’s new Vice President. In the new role, Tara will work closely with the government relations team to provide integrated public relations capabilities, as well as enhancing the existing corporate communications offering. She will work with clients to provide crisis and issues management planning and support, media relations including strategy, response and training, and specialty writing.
Prior to joining, Tara was with Scotiabank drafting executive communications. Prior to that, she worked for several Toronto-based PR agencies (including Kaiser Lachance Communications) where she led client files across a wide variety of industries and
sectors. Tara also worked for WWF-Canada where she created and executed numerous national public engagement campaigns including helping launch the global Earth Hour program.
