We have all heard the saying “Go big or go home,” and that is exactly what the team over at Robin Hood did on Monday to celebrate Family Day. The brand made a big move as they aimed to make history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest cookie mosaic. Hosting an event in downtown Toronto Robin Hood used the opportunity to invited youth and their families from across Toronto to help celebrate the moment as well as take part in helping to make the cookie mosaic.
Steph Bigford, Brand Manager, Robin Hood was on hand to welcome attendees and share the brand’s commitment towards We Day. Craig Kielburger, Co-Founder of WE Day and Free The Children also attended the event and was blown away by the support and commitment from Robin Hood and the community. To ensure that everything went as planned, Christina Flounders Conlon, Adjudicator, Guinness World Records North America, Inc., was also on hand to count every cookie.
The campaign also extended across Canada as youth were encouraged to register for We Bake for Change – an initiative of WE Day – and host bake sales with their friends and families in support of Free The Children.
The final result, a historic moment was made as the cookie mosaic was completed measuring 29.58 feet by 47.71 feet and was comprised of over 13,000 shortbread cookies.
