Before we get too far into 2016 we wanted to take a moment to look back at the leadership changes within public agencies across Canada.
Citizen Relations
Citizen Relations continued to grow over the course of 2015, Which is one of the factors that put this agencies on “PR In Canada’s Fastest Growing Agencies Of 2015.” Nick Cowling was appointed President back in October 2015 which also made room for several other executive appointed to team Citizen across Canada for Anik Trudel, Rob Moore and David Brodie. We also broke the number of other senior appointments about Citizen Relations, in June Mark Carpenter was appointed Vice President Of Digital, Amanda Shuchat was also promoted to Vice President in April. Jean Lépine Appointed EVP and Deputy GM At Citizen Relations In Toronto. Citizen also launched their i²: Insight & Innovation division (headed up by Amanda) and brought on Sabrina Kandasamy as Senior Director of Strategic Planning.
Edelman Canada
At the beginning of the year we saw John Clinton promoted to the on a new role as Chair and CEO, Canada, North American Head of Creative and Content. Lisa Kimmel was promoted to President, Edelman Canada, Scott Evans promoted to General Manager Edelman Toronto. Jordan Doucette, who was in the role of Executive Creative Director, Toronto was promoted to National Executive Creative Director but later returned back to advertising agency TAXI. Tristan Roy, Managing Director, Digital moved over to Managing Director, Digital and National Specialties. Edelman Toronto also appointed Neil Mohan As Vice President, Digital.
Environics Communications
Environics Communications quietly brought on a new President back in September 2014, unfortunately things didn’t work out and his departure made as many headlines within the industry. Good news for the agency as CEO Bruce MacLellan returned back at the helm.
Narrative PR
Narrative PR lost its two key leaders with Amanda Alvaro and Lindsay Mattick Davidson apparently leaving the agency. Jack Bensimon, President of parent company Bensimon Byrne has stepped in to fill the gap. Expect new leadership of Narrative be announced around February.
NATIONAL Public Relations
We broke the news that NATIONAL Public Relations ended off the year with John Crean, National Managing Partner of leaving the agency.
Weber Shandwick
Robyn Adelson was appointed Executive Vice President, Strategy And Creative. Karning Hum joined as Vice President Of Media And Creative Strategy.
Weber Shandwick Canada Appointed Christian Marcoux As National Health Practice Leader And Managing Director For Montreal in July. In September Hayes Steinberg was appointed as EVP, Executive Creative Director.

Back in September 2015, Sarah Coombs, who was Partner and Practice Leader – Technology Communications at NATIONAL Public Relations left the organization.
