December 14, 2015

CHCHGood news for viewers of Hamilton-area television broadcaster CHCH, the company has announced “altered” plans to return back to air today. You may recall on Friday,  Romen Podzyhun, Chairman and CEO, Channel Zero, who is the parent company of  CHCH issued a press release stating the station was filing for bankruptcy and shutting down its Friday and weekend broadcasts. Over the weekend an email was sent out to update situation and clarify a few facts:

  1. CHCH is not going off the air or ceasing operations. We have made changes to our programming schedule
  2. Starting Monday we will resume broadcasting our popular weekday 6 and 11pm news. Starting Tuesday, Morning Live returns to the schedule
  3. Many of the favorite personalities you’ve enjoyed watching over the years will be coming back

A restructuring of CHCH and the company will in fact move forward due to the bankruptcy of Channel 11 L.P., and they company blames lower than expected revenues as a key factor to the decision.  No word yet on any pending job losses.
