energi PR was selected as public relations AOR for HackerNest, a nonprofit organization and movement that unites local technology communities around the world. Currently operating in 22 cities, HackerNest runs friendly community events and hackathons as part of its mission of economic development through technological proliferation. It is the largest technology community in Canada and is quickly growing in international popularity.
energi PR will be responsible for establishing and driving the communications strategy on behalf of HackerNest. The mandate will include strategic communications planning, media and stakeholder relations, issues and crisis management, content development and more. This will be the first time in the company’s history that HackerNest has employed the services of an outside agency and is a critical part of its 2015 growth strategy.
