Carlsberg has announced the signing of another sponsorship deal, this time with Barclays Premier League as the Official Beer Partner, and will help support of soccer worldwide and provides some exciting opportunities for Canadian soccer fans to take their enthusiasm abroad.
As part of the announcement, Carlsberg is also giving away a trip for a lucky fan and a guest to see Arsenal or Liverpool in action by voting for their favourite team through a new contest at Carlsberg Canada’s Facebook page. More than 25,000 entries were logged — with over 15,000 votes cast for Liverpool and almost 10,000 for Arsenal. Earlier in 2012, Carlsberg rewarded loyal soccer fans across Canada with special events, fan parks and promotions leading up to the UEFA EURO finals which saw a packed out fan park in Toronto’s Little Italy as thousands of people gathered to watch Italy and Spain battle it out for top bill.
