Cohn & Wolfe Toronto announced today the appointment of Patricia Best for the public relations agency, and will focus on serving the agency’s clients in all facets of corporate communications and public affairs.
Previously, Patricia was Director of Communications for the Minister of Natural Resources Canada where, among other assignments, she was responsible for the strategic roll out of one of the government’s leading agenda items in 2012. Her portfolio of experience in Ottawa, on municipal and federal election campaigns, and as an independent consultant to senior executives, encompasses crisis communications, rapid response, reputation management, issues management, media relations, strategic communications and planning.
Before politics, Patricia spent an award-winning career in journalism with Canada’s leading media organizations, including the Globe & Mail and its Report on Business magazine, Maclean’s magazine, the Financial Times of Canada and Toronto Life. She has been a writer, editor, broadcaster and columnist of the Globe and Mail’s “Nobody’s Business,” and has authored three best-selling non-fiction business books.
