CAPMA Announces the 2012 PROMO! Award Winners

Canadian Agencies Practicing Marketing Activation (CAPMA) recently held their 2012 Canadian Agencies Practicing Marketing Activation (CAPMA) PROMO! Awards in downtown, Toronto.  The annual gala recognizes the best brand activation campaigns across marketing disciplines featured 49 Awards in 18 categories and this year’s theme was ‘WELCOME TO THE (r)EVOLUTION’ and in keeping with the theme was provided a refreshing and new feel to the decade long event which featured the top campaigns from the industry over the past year

The Hive took home Best of Show with their ‘Make Your Face a Maynards’ Campaign which also won three gold’s bringing the Toronto based agency’s total to five awards. MacClaren Momentum and Leo Burnett were also big winners during the evening with 5 and 11 awards respectively. MacClaren continued to win for its ‘Kraft Celebration Tour’ and ‘Kraft Hockeyville’ campaign while Leo Burnett won three Golds for their ‘IKEA Moving Day’ campaign.

Other Gold Winners included:

  • The Hive for ‘Cadbury Key to the Secret’ campaign
  • Leo Burnett for ‘Nothing But Potential’; the best Charity/Cause Campaign of the year
  • Kraft Canada for ‘Real Women of Philadelphia’ campaign in the Best Digital Marketing category
  • Hunter Straker for ‘J&J Medicine Cabinet’ in the Best Shopper Marketing Activation category
  • Cossette for ‘Amnesty International Canada’ in the Best Small Budget category
  • Target Marketing for ’48 Half Hours’ contest in the Best Use of Social Marketing category
