Are Dead Hyper-Links Killing Your Pitch?

June 13, 2012

Today’s PR tip is simple – double check that hyperlinks and website you are pitching are working and active. We recently got a press release sent to us over at Profectio and quickly started writing up the story, going back and forth with the PR contact to get more information and screen shots.   As a final task we clicked on the link to the new website and got a domain place-holder message, you know the generic text to identify the domain has been purchased but nothing has been added to the site.

In an age where you are trying to get consumers attention, and turn browser’s into shoppers, little mistakes like this can be costly as you may have lost a customer for good.
