Veritas Communications Gives Support To Girls 20 Summit

June 6, 2012

As the annual G(irls)20 Summit gets into full swing in Mexico City, Toronto’s Veritas Communications throws its weight behind the event and lends some PR support. G(irls)20 Summit brings together 20 women aged 18 to 20 – one from each of the G20 nations plus the African Union, the event focuses on specific ways girls and women can play central roles in economic growth in both developed and developing nations. Veritas has provided media and communications sponsorship support to the G(irls)20 since its inaugural summit in Toronto in 2010.

Now in its third year, the summit is bringing a priority focus on the economic importance of women in agriculture and the economic cost of violence against women, guest speakers and session participants include key players from the World Economic Forum, the World Bank, the UN World Food Program, the Man Up Campaign and partners including Google, Scotiabank, Nissan and Norton Rose – all helping these dynamic young women to put forward tangible solutions to global economic challenges from the girls’ perspective.
