We mentioned Hill & Knowlton Canada’s new Philanthropy Group, but they’ve also created a neat infographic entitled “How The Top 40 Canadian Non-Profits Do Social Media.”

Some interesting data points from infographic:

  • 15% of Canada’s top 40 nonprofits have no social channels on their website homepages
  • More charities promote their Twitter profiles than Facebook pages
  • The Salvation Army led the pack on Twitter, with more than 11,400 followers, but the United Way of Toronto was the most talkative
  • Doctors Without Borders ruled Facebook, with more than 434,000 fans, but the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation had the most posts
