You spend hours preparing that press release, getting client approvals, perfecting each sentence and then you look for a place to distribute your news. In most cases you have two options – leverage your internal media list or use a free or paid news distribution services. The come in all shapes and sizes and offer a wide spectrum of tiered services, we’ll get into the pros and cons of the services later, but we recently came across another player that has entered the field. Montreal-based mononews which launched a year and a half ago offers a pretty basic service with two different tiers.
They recently won a Platinum MarCom award for the Website/Professional Service category. I’m sure we’ll hear more from them in the coming months. Since they are based in Montreal, they should have some strong ties to the French press which might give them a leg up on the competition.
