HP Canada Becomes Gold Sponsor Of Canadian Olympics Team Gushue

October 26, 2011

As HP turns a new corner with Meg Witman as the new CEO, in Canada it looks like it is business as usual. Today, HP Canada announced that it has become the gold-level sponsorship of Team Gushue, one of the top teams on the Canadian curling circuit and hopeful contender for the 2014 Canadian Olympic team.
With the gold-level sponsorship, HP will have visibility during all World Curling tour events, Canada Cup and the Ford World Men’s Curling Championships.
The team is led by internationally known and recognized Skip Brad Gushue. Gushue led his team to a gold medal at the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy. He also has won two World Junior Championships and silver and bronze at the Tim Hortons Brier. Over the past five years, Gushue has been ranked amongst the world’s top five curlers. Gushue is joined on Team Gushue by Ryan Fry, Geoff Walker and Adam Casey.
As part of their sponsorship, HP will provide the team with HP Envy 14 Beats Edition notebook, HP Envy 17 notebook, HP Pavilion DV7 notebook and HP Pavilion DV6 notebook along with headphones, mice and backpacks. Team Gushue’s club in St. John’s Newfoundland also will be equipped with an HP TouchSmart all-in-one desktop PC.
Team Gushue will take part in the World Cup of Curling Championships on Nov. 2 in Sault Ste Marie. Following that, the team will compete at the Swiss Chalet National in Kitchener, Ontario. The team will kick off its 2012 season in Dawson Creek, British Columbia at the Canadian Open on Jan. 25, 2012.
