Weber Shandwick Adds Canadian Healthcare Practice Leader and Creative Director For North American Healthcare

Weber Shandwick just announced that Peter Matheson Gay has joined the agency as National Practice Leader for Healthcare in Canada and Creative Director for North American Healthcare. As part of his role, Peter will be responsible for overseeing the strategic vision, direction and execution of the Canadian healthcare offering and developing creative platforms and innovative approaches for North American healthcare clients. Matheson Gay will report to Canadian President Greg Power and Laura Schoen, President of the Global Healthcare Practice.
He returns to Canada from New York where he was responsible for senior leadership and client counsel at Cohn & Wolfe for global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other healthcare clients. Matheson Gay also worked out of the firm’s London office where he provided strategic counsel to a number of international and pan-European clients. Prior to taking on a global leadership role in New York, Matheson Gay worked for several Canadian agencies including Hill & Knowlton, PraxisPR and Veritas Communications.
