With Sonic Boom operating as a division of NATIONAL Public Relations, the company has been looking for ways to bridge the gap between communications and digital in a more meaningful way. Enter in Sylvain Perron and Richard Zeidel who have made personal investments into Sonic Boom and will be taking leadership roles as they help the advertising and social media division reach its the next level. With this change comes a new management structure that will have Sylvain become Managing Partner, Richard Senior Vice President, Sonic Boom’s Founder Alex Pejcic, Vice-President, and Norm Mayot will continue to apply his creative skills as Vice-President, Creative Director.

As part of their new focus, the firm will now offer research and insights, social business architecture, strategy, design and development of digital assets, content and storytelling, community engagement and influencer outreach.
On a call with PR In Canada earlier today, Sylvain shared his excitement for this new chapter in his career. Both Sylvain and Richard have done business for well over 10 years growing digital and consulting firms in Canada, so share a common style and chemistry for business. He also commented saying they see this as a launch pad and a way to give a re-birth to Sonic Boom and bring a 360 degree of thinking to NATIONAL Public Relations. He did confirm that financials of the deal will not be disclosed.
Previously Sylvain was Managing Director, Digital Edelman in their Montreal office, and Richard former Vice-President of Strategic Alliances at Tungle.Me, which was acquired by RIM, has worked on several digital start-ups as well as serving as a key digital strategist and executive with a global advertising and communications agency.
