Toronto-based integrated public relations agency Pilot PMR launched a new division this week which will focus on producing corporate and brand stories for clients. The unit will draw on award-winning journalists and documentary filmmakers on a project assignment basis.
The work of the unit is initially focused on short format stories that have the ability to connect directly with audiences online. Current projects include a collaboration with award-winning Quebec filmmaker Francine Pelletier on a project for international consulting firm Open Options.
“Brand stories remain at the core of everything we do, so documentary storytelling is a natural extension of our work,” said Doze. “Canada has a rich history in the documentary genre and we have access to some of the world’s best talents.”
Pilot PMR has also launched a new online presence that includes a new quarterly journal called ‘SPOUT.’ The online publication offers feature articles, short perspective pieces, and candid video interviews with consumers.
