Fleishman-Hillard Canada recently signed the papers to become the strategic communications and issues management agency of record for the Toronto 2015™ Pan/Parapan American Games Organizing Committee (TO2015).
As part of the agreement, Fleishman-Hillard will execute a multiyear strategic communications plan to help TO2015 realize its vision of delivering a first-class competition that transforms local communities with a lasting legacy of sport, volunteerism and engagement. With a commitment to transparency, accountability and stakeholder engagement, Fleishman-Hillard will assist TO2015 to achieve meaningful engagement of athletes, citizens and community leaders in Toronto, the Greater Golden Horseshoe, across Canada and all the Pan-American countries.
“Fleishman-Hillard stood out for their proven ability to see around the curve when it comes to the municipal, provincial and federal landscape,” said Elissa Freeman, Director of Communications and Public Relations, TO2015. “The Toronto 2015 Games bring together countries from North America, South America and the Caribbean, and we needed a firm that could assemble a top-notch team from Canada, the U.S. and along the north-south axis.”
“We believe TO2015 will be a transformational sport and cultural event that will leave a lasting legacy for Toronto and the Greater Golden Horseshoe in terms of both life experience and infrastructure,” said John Blyth, president and senior partner of Fleishman-Hillard Canada. “We are committed to uniting talent from across our international network for this multiyear, multicountry, multifaceted project.”
