Get your game face on Toronto, a new social club is getting ready to open its first Canadian location later this summer as SPiN Toronto hosted a teaser event earlier this week. SPiN Toronto is a ping pong social club, that originated in the United States with partners Franck Raharinosy, Andrew Gordon, Jonathan Bricklin and Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon, operating partner Ryan Fisher. The pre-launch event was organized by rock-it promotions at the Burroughs Building in downtown, Toronto.
“I started playing ping pong as a kid in South Africa where the climate of sports is quite different. We played as a family and with our friends, for no other reason than the joy it brought to all who participated,” said Fisher. “I’ve always had the dream to help build a ping pong community in Toronto, where the only social rules that matter are those of community, and the game itself.”
rock-it promotions was able to secure a number of media outlets to attend and cover the event including: CTV, CBC, ET Canada, National Post, Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, BlogTO.com, Torontoist.com, HipandUrbanGirl.com, PR In Canada and Compendium Daily.
