Environics Communications is on the grow again, this time adding two new Senior Consultants to its Toronto office.
Morgan Cates has joined Environics Communications in their health practice from an international public relations firm where she worked on large pharmaceutical clients, as well as not-for-profits, including Willow and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Before this she managed communications for MEDEC, a medical device association, where she spearheaded campaigns to raise the profile of the organization. Morgan has also worked at the Canadian Arthritis Network and the Hospital for Sick Children.
Joining the consumer practice is Janessa Bishop comes to Environics’ consumer practice. Previously she was with a multi-national firm where she led programs for recognized grocery retailers, packaged goods, and food and beverage clients. She also worked on national media relations campaigns for Mental Illness Awareness, which evolved from a small, grassroots program to an important national awareness week. Prior to this position, Janessa managed media relations efforts and executive speech writing for the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA), where she also acted as editor for CEAA’s national newspaper.
