Richard Mahoney Joins NATIONAL Public Relations As Vice President, Government Relations

NATIONAL Public Relations is starting 2011 off with the addition of Richard Mahoney who joins the public relations agency as Vice President, Government Relations. Richard is a lawyer by trade who has worked as a special assistant to the Rt. Hon. John Turner and as a political advisor to the Rt. Hon. Paul Martin throughout his political career. He was Senior Vice-President of Borealis Capital Corporation where he worked on the financing of major public infrastructure projects and their public policy implications. As Partner at the prestigious law firm, FMC, he was Chair, Public Policy Practice Group and Co-Chair, Government Industry Joint Venture Practice Group.

Richard joins a team of public affairs and government relations staff at NATIONAL in all key markets across Canada . In addition to working closely with Chris Froggatt, Managing Partner of NATIONAL’s Ottawa office, he will provide counsel to clients looking to advance government relations projects in the province of Ontario.
