Blockbuster Canada Prepares For The Toronto International Film Festival

September 8, 2010

While the spotlight gets ready to be turned on the Toronto International Film Festival, retailers Blockbuster puts the finishing touches on a major sponsorship of the annual event. Blockbuster Canada has signed on an official sponsor of the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Blockbuster will use the opportunity to give away tickets via social media networks to premium screenings, and promoting past TIFF films in-stores. Consumers in the Greater Toronto Area can visit any participating Blockbuster store to pick up their favourite previous TIFF titles like Up In The Air and The Road to get into the festival spirit.
In addition, TIFF film buffs can pick up a festival ticket guide to review the official film schedule at select Blockbuster locations in the Toronto area.

In honor of past TIFF films Blockbuster Canada will also offer the Blockbuster’s Favourites Pass for $9.99 which will allow movie buffs to rent as many movies as they’d like (with the exception of Blu-ray and new releases) for one month.
