Canwest Rebrands To Postmedia Network Inc, Will It Be Enough

July 19, 2010

Any time a company goes through a major change there is bound to be some type of shake up, executives leave, share price drops, brand value decreases. Canwest with Paul Godfrey, President and CEO, has recently announced a new corporate name, Postmedia Network Inc.
Last week the company also saw the departure of Graham Moysey from its digital side. As well the company reported its third quarter earnings ending May 31, 2010. Canwest reported consolidated revenue of $557 million and operating profit of $150 million, which were up 3% and 101%, respectively, when compared to the same period in the previous year. Publishing earnings was only up 1% or $270 million from the same time period in 2009.
Can Postmedia Network come out fighting?
