Rogers Bus Naming Rights For Vancouver Canucks Home

July 13, 2010

Content is King, just take a look at Rogers Communications latest move as they have acquired the naming rights to the home of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks franchise, and renamed the complex Rogers Arena. It was previously known as GM (General Motors) Place since opening its doors in 1995. Sportsnet, another Rogers brand will also benefit from this opportunity as it will have more access to sporting events hosted in the Rogers Arena. While no financials of the team have been release we can assume that Rogers did pay a pretty penny to beat out TELUS who has a very strong footprint in Western Canada.
