NATIONAL Public Relations Adds Seven New Team Members in Toronto

NATIONAL Public Relations’ Managing Partner, John Crean has announced seven new additions to his team here in Toronto this week.

Jennifer Shah joins NATIONAL Public Relations as Manager, Marketing Communications. She is an experienced public relations and marketing professional, with over 13 years of experience in consumer and product marketing and digital strategy on both the client and agency side in Canada, the U.K. and the U.S. Prior to joining the Firm, Jennifer was a marketing manager at Nokia in the U.K., where she developed global marketing strategies, including social media and consumer engagement programs for some of Nokia’s online and digital services. She has also created interactive and mobile marketing programs in the entertainment, telecommunications and retail industries.

With more than 10 years experience in healthcare communications, Stacy O’Rourke joins NATIONAL’s Healthcare Communications team as senior consultant. Stacy previously worked at the Heart and Stroke Foundation where she was responsible for the development of public relations strategies for Foundation initiatives including the annual report on Canadians’ Health, National Stroke Report Card and Ontario Blood Pressure Prevalence Study, as well as the Becel Heart and Stroke Ride for Heart.

Laura Casselman joins NATIONAL as coordinator in the Technology practice. With a background and keen interest in social media, Laura brings new energy and creativity to NATIONAL’s roster of technology clients. She previously worked with a social media agency before joining NATIONAL.
In her new role as coordinator, Alexandra Zourntos brings strong event planning and media relations skills to NATIONAL’s Corporate Communications and Public Affairs practice. Most recently, she serviced Toronto and Montreal clients at a boutique public relations firm and worked as a public relations assistant at Metropolitan Hotels.

As a new coordinator, Shane Fallowfield’s keen interest in financial services will be resourceful to the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs practice at NATIONAL. Shane is also passionate about digital communications and was a live blogger during MaRS’ Net Change Week and a facilitator at Humber College’s Personal Brand Camp, leading discussions on establishing a professional presence online through social media, and building credibility as a young professional.

Anna Robinson’s previous experience as a research analyst, writing communications materials and proposals and coordinating large-scale events such as lobby days at Queen’s Park, will serve her well in her new role as coordinator, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. Anna’s insightful knowledge and understanding of Canadian government structures and procedures at the provincial and federal level will be an asset to the Firm.

With previous experience in entertainment and fashion marketing and public relations, Alexandra Julian joins NATIONAL as coordinator in the Marketing Communications practice. Having worked with Fashion Weekly Magazine, Jason Meyers Designs, DDB Canada and E1 Entertainment, Alexandra will provide clients and colleagues alike with a fresh, new perspective.
