Journalists And Bloggers Are People Too, The Forgotten Art Of PR

I caught a blog post over on PR Squared as it was retweeted by a few public relations professions that I happen to follow so it caught my eye and I read further on the post titled “PR pros are people too.” In Todd Defren talks a client sending a gift as a token of appreciation, which is nice.

As a PR professional, when is the last time that you said thank you (gift or even just an email) to the publication that you keep pitching and who covers your client’s stories? ¬†As I’ve said a few times on here, the model is broken, the recession has helped to identify some of the problems.
