North America’s largest film festival the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is approaching fast and will dominate the streets of downtown Toronto from September 11 to September 19. For any regular readers of Profectio.com you don’t need to be convinced of the power of social media as users pass and share content to their followers and friends.
It looks like for 2009 they’ve taken a few baby sets by setting up a Toronto Film Festival Twitter account, and a Facebook Fan Page. It will be interesting to see what type of impact social media plays on ticket sales and general buzz as Twitter has had an impact on Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds which has had a nice bump in ticket sales due to positive reviews on Twitter.
