Visa Scores with NHL, NHLPA Sponsorship

How’s this for a hat trick: Visa Canada has been named an official partner, and the official payment card, of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA).

Okay, so that’s only two triumphs, not three, but it means great cross-promotional opportunities for both the league and for Visa.

Both sides are already hinting at “unique hockey experiences” for fans across the country. NHL Director of Business Development Laurel Walzak says they “see many synergies with Visa as we super-serve NHL fans with unique, exciting experiences.”

What could that be? Contests for tickets to the Stanley Cup Finals? Shootouts for a chance to win big bucks? An actual Stanley Cup for the Toronto Maple Leafs?

That last one would be unique and exciting to me.
