It’s good to know that in the current economic doom-and-gloom, at least one Canadian agency is thriving.
Media Profile has added five new bodies to its Toronto team-two new senior staff and three new coordinators- that will provide greater reach and support to their expanding roster of accounts.
New sports programming Senior Analyst James Lamont will bring his experience with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors to head up the CBC Television team. Media Profile’s corporate communications division will also get a boost, courtesy of new Senior Consultant Nikki Gentles. She’ll be leading Media Profile’s accounts for Abbott Laboratories and George Brown College.

In addition, Media Profile’s three new coordinators will lend their talents to a variety of accounts. Dane Gergovich, a graduate of Seneca@York’s Corporate Communications program, and Carla Maggiotto and Shaday Livingston, from Humber’s Public Relations program, will work on accounts such as Warner Home Video, The Source By Circuit City, and MGM Home Entertainment.
Media profile already doubled in size last year, and was named Large PR Firm Of The Year by IABC Toronto in 2007. Whatever they’re doing, the rest of us should take notice-looks like they’re set to weather the impending economic storm.
