Auto Experts Aspen Expand Into Canada

September 30, 2008

Chicago-based Aspen Marketing Services is making a foray into the Canadian market. The Marketing and Public Relations services agency will open its first north-of-the-border office just outside in Markham, Ontario.

Aspen has made a name for itself as a leader in automotive marketing services, and has tapped Pfaff Automotive partners’ Director of Marketing and Communications Richard Lambert to lead the Markham office.

It’s interesting that an operation like Aspen is able to expand at a time when the automotive industry is taking a huge hit (GM is an Aspen client). It suggests that automotive companies-particularly the Big Three-are pouring huge resources into repositioning themselves as not just eco-friendly, but also people-friendly companies.

Perhaps with the closing of GM plants in Oshawa and Windsor, the automaker giant realized the support of its Canadian stakeholders is vital to the company’s survival.

We’ll see if Aspen is able to make a difference.
