Wayne Sumarah Buys Stake In Impact Communications

Marketing veteran Wayne Sumarah who has held roles with organizations such as Rogers, SaskTel, Navigata, and DownEast Communications has made a 50 percent investment into Halifax-based Impact Communications. The communications agency was founded 14 years ago by Bruce Thompson who also serves as Creative Director

Bruce Thompson said on the new partnership, “In looking ahead, I knew I wanted to bring executive leadership on board and in the process I met Wayne. His strategic marketing expertise adds tremendous value for our clients and together we will create an even greater impact.”

Bruce Thompson will become Chief Executive Officer with Wayne Sumarah assuming the role of President.

Impact Communications has worked with clients such as ImmunoVaccine Technologies and the Nova Scotia Gaming Corp. Most recently the firm won silver at the 2009 Web Health Awards, designing and developing the website for the Sun Life Financial Chair in Adolescent Mental Health.
