St. Baldrick’s Foundation Gets The Luck Of The Irish

In efforts to continue the fight against childhood cancer and raise awareness the St. Baldrick’s Foundation will be hosting its first ever for the only national charity devoted to Canada’s 10,000 cancer-fighting kids. The event is part of a new partnership with the Childhood Cancer Foundation – Candlelighters Canada.

St. Baldricks is proud to support the promising childhood cancer research that is taking place in Canada, says Kathleen Ruddy, Executive Director, St. Baldricks Foundation. We were very excited to award our first direct Canadian grant last year to expand the existing oncology research at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Our new partnership with the Childhood Cancer Foundation is another great milestone and we look forward to greatly increasing our ability to help children with cancer in Canada during the coming year.

The event is scheduled for March 14, 2008 and in no better place than P.J. O’Brien Irish Pub and Restaurant in downtown Toronto, Ontario. St. Baldrick’s has raised $34 million and shaved more than 46,000 heads worldwide and now hosts first event for the only national charity devoted to Canada’s 10,000 cancer-fighting kids.
